My Life

It’s true I must confess
Life is utterly meaningless
For nothing in this world could be as bland
As that which we humans command
Use your imagination and intellect
To realize the truth of life’s affect
Academic studies are forced on me
With expectations of a tolerant fuss
My culture is forced to mold
Into something much less bold
I am taught to not devise
And forced to believe their lies
My freedom is constrained
It is, in all truth, feigned
This is the life I know
One that is so very low
I come and go as others please
And hopelessly pay their crazy fees
So far I have been alive in this place
But have been unable to make my case
