On a cold day one winter
While I was travelling about
At one point I did see her
The one of whom I would dream
Perhaps by chance or cruel fate
I lost my chance to say hello
But I still wonder at any rate
What it would have been like
To peer into those eyes
To see a glimpse of hope
A special light would shine
From deep within her soul
A love from hidden places
Lost until this moment
And now as my heart races
I dream of her again
And in my dreams I see
A lost forgotten future
How happy we could be
But alas, now we will never meet
